Policies and Procedures Handbook

This is something that has been on my to do list for a while.  Well, I finally got it done today and thought I'd share for anyone needing a policy and procedure manual to look at.  I believe I covered all the basics and then the little details that are specific to my school and school system.  It took a while, but I am super glad it is finished.  Click here to download it from Google docs.  Or you can click on the picture above.

I've had several emails over the past year about my scope and sequences, so I decided to share a couple of those as well.

Click here or on the picture above to get the 2013-2014 scope and sequence.

Hope these help you in your planning.

  3. Thank you for your wonderful blog and information! I use your TPT products and information from the blog all the time! I wondered if you date stamp the students books when they check out. I am asking because I would like to stop date stamping so that check out will go a little faster. I actually thought of stamping upside down. LOL Thank you again.

    1. I don't date stamp. Our books don't have a place for a stamp. Classes come on a regular basis for check out and students know to bring their library books each time they come to the library to either renew or turn in. I email out overdue lists to homerooms each Friday (all day open check out day) so teachers can send students who need to return or renew that day. I don't charge for overdue items, but I do encourage students to turn in books on time or they may not get to check out new items.

    2. Thank you! I see the students every week but their check out is for 2 weeks (most only keep a week) I don't charge for overdue items, but do allow them to check out up to their max even with a late book. I also send notices once a week to individual students by homeroom...maybe I don't need to stamp them after all :) Thank you.

    1. Hi Kelli,
You can read about the fiction scavenger hunt in the Teaching Fiction Sections in My Media Center post. Within that post is a link to download the file to get an idea of what I did. Enjoy!
