It's that time again...time to divulge the most popular titles of the year. I like to divide it up by section, so I will be starting with the Easy section.
Number 10 was a tie between Duck on a Bike by David Shannon, The Magic Hat by Mem Fox and The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.
Number 9 was also a tie. It was between Black Beauty by Sharon Lerner, The Biggest Best Snowman by Margery Cuyler, Birthday Presents by Cynthia Rylant and The Greedy Triangle by Marilyn Burns.
Number 8 was Olivia and the Missing Toy by Ian Falconer.
Number 7 was a six-way tie between Alice the Fairy by David Shannon, Beauty and the Beaks: A Turkey's Cautionary Tale by Mary Jane Auch, It's Christmas, David! by David Shannon, More Parts by Todd Arnold, Some Dogs Do by Jez Alborough, and Zoo-Looking by Mem Fox.
Number 6 was a three way tie between Dewey: There's a Cat in the Library by Vicki Myron, I Wanna Iguana by Karen Kaufman Orloff, and So, What's it Like to Be a Cat? by Karla Kuskin.
Number 4 was a tie between My Lucky Day by Keiko Kasza and Pigs Will Be Pigs: Fun with Math and Money by Amy Axelrod.
Number 3 was Leah's Pony by Elizabeth Friedrich.
The number 2 checked out easy book was Dewey's Christmas at the Library by Vicki Myron.
And the number 1 most popular Easy book checked out this year, with a whopping 54 checkouts was Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney.

ReplyDeleteSo glad you like it! It is a lot of work to go through each section and find the top ten, but it's worth it. It makes me realize trends, too, and what types of books I need more of.
