...I am joining the All Star Block Party on The Library Patch and sharing the top 10 Fiction, top 10 Non-fiction, and top 10 Wildcat Favorites checked out this year. There were several ties so the lists are longer than 10 books.

Looking at the Wildcat Favorites top 10 just validates that I choose the right books to put in that section. (Read about the Wildcat Favorites section here.) I have plans to make a Junior Wildcat section for Kindergarten and First grade books. It's on my summer to do list. Maybe it will actually happen. We'll see.
What about you? What were the most popular titles checked out in your library/media center?

Hi Jo - Thanks for linking up to The Block Party. I love how you broke your list down into three sections ... makes me want to go back and check my stats again :) It also makes me smile that kids EVERYWHERE are so much the same! My nonfiction list would look much the same as yours. I also had to go back to your January post to read about your Wildcat Favorites. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to know that kids can be somewhat predictable afterall? It really was helpful to go back and check all sections. Now I know what to stock up on and what books I can promote more. Thanks for mentioning the Wildcat Favorites post. I went back and added links to it in case other readers might want to check it out, too. =)
