It's that time again!  Time to promote to your kiddos a chance for them to vote for their favorite books!

The Children's Choice Book Awards is sponsored by the Children's Book Council.  Voting closes May 12th and winners will be announced during a live video broadcast during Children's Book Week (May 12-18).  There's a K-2nd 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and Teen category this year, as well as Author of the Year and Illustrator of the Year.  There are some really great nominees this year.Go to http://ccbookawards.com/  to see the nominees and to cast your vote or to have your students vote. Kindergarten through Second Grade Book of the Year

Awesomeness.  My patrons will be very happy to know that Mr. Kinney won author of the year.  I never see the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books on the shelf because they are always checked out.  I think next year I will do a better job of promoting voting as well as displaying something about the winners.  I feel an idea for a book promotion display coming!  Stay tuned to see what develops.

In the meantime, I am just trying to survive inventory and the last few days of school.  I hope to be back to blogging on a regular basis very soon.  I've missed Bloggy Land!
